Forks

Keep reading! It's not about Twilight, I promise. Although anyone who would see forks and think Twilight, probably would want to read about Twilight and not about Finn and how he is the most contrary kid. He is the messiest eater I have ever seen. He rips off any bib we try to tie to him. He has piles of food hidden under him. I not only have to change his outfit every time he eats, I have to vacuum. If I was more concerned with his appearance I would also have to bathe him, but wet wipes are good enough for me. He is very, very messy.

BUT he absolutely insists on using a fork.

Even with Fudgesicles. Crazy kid.

All the single ladies

Eric had a conference in North Carolina and immediately after did a pediatric rotation in Ohio for six weeks. So after seven weeks I feel I can somewhat relate now to a single parent. It is freakin' hard. The thing is, when you're a single parent (well okay, when I am a single parent) I say "yes" a lot more often. Probably most of the time. So the kids did a lot of things they normally don't get to do.

Like jump on trampolines,

wear make-up,

and play drums.

We killed time at the pool... a lot

and at the beach.

They wore whatever they wanted. Mostly that was just underwear/diaper,

but sometimes it was a skirt for a shirt

or old halloween costumes.

The sandbox Eric sent in the mail was a hit,

until they ran out of sand.

I took a few breaks at my parents house

and with Dave, Holly, Max and Zeke when they visited.

We are glad to have you back Eric. I now appreciate you more than I ever thought possible.
