When Mommy's Away...

Eric watches Lily while I go to work three days a week. He's supposed to try and get homework done on those days, but all they ever do is play all day. I'm sure they are Lily's favorite days of the week because when I'm home with her I have to work! How would it be Eric? How would it be? -that is totally a joke to Eric since he currently is working 40 hours a week, full time school, YM President, and pretty much does all the housework...

Anyway, Eric and Lily had fun yesterday as you can see:

Sleep! Sleep! Glorious Sleep!

I just wanted to announce that Lily slept all night last night! It was wonderful. We put her to bed around 11 pm and she didn't wake up until 6:30. Still not back to my usual 10-7 regimen, but much better than the past three months! Let's hope she keeps it up...

PS I would've liked to have put a picture of her sleeping, but it's just too scary to think I could possibly wake her up by trying to take one, so I put this one we took of her about two weeks ago. Amazingly she already looks a whole lot different.

Eric and I have been obsessed with Indian food lately and decided to try and make our own. We made Shahi Paneer, Palak Paneer, Basmati rice, onion naan and Mango Lassis. Yeah, it was a lot of food, but it was super fun to cook all this together and delicious!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my dad's birthday (in Afghanistan time, it is really tomorrow). I would say he shares his birthday with the most interesting group of people. Yeah, he's pretty much the odd man out in this group of weirdos:
