While Lily was taking a nap today, Finn and I had a little photo shoot. Before I started he was being super smiley, once I got everything set up he was only interested in sucking on his fist. So here are the few that kind of turned out. The first one is so cute, I hate that his eyes weren't in focus! Curse my poor camera skills!

I know this blog seems a little partial to Lily, but she is just so dang funny and I don't want to ever forget anything about these years. Like her bed head. I love it.
And this. She's such a ham.

Mom, You're a good big sister
That's what Lily told me today in line at Costco. I guess she's been hearing it a lot lately and just thinks it is a general term of endearment. She really is a great big sister. She loves to help with Finn. She'll grab his burp cloth and wipe spit up off his face, give him his binky, and she loves to lay on his play mat and play with him (sometimes even when he's not on the play mat). My favorite is when she walks into the room and goes right up to Finn, crouches down right into his face and says in a REALLY high voice "Hi buddy!". Oh and whenever I'm burping him while sitting on the couch she likes to go behind the couch and play peek-a-boo with him. It is so cute to see my two kids interact with each other. I'm so excited for them to be good friends.

Maked!

Lately Lily has been obsessed with watching this birthday video I made a long time ago. It is a two minute video that she will watch back to back until I finally say "Alright, that's enough". So today she's sitting in front of my computer watching it as usual, when I start to pull her pajamas off to get her dressed for the day. She quickly pulls hers arms down so I couldn"t pull her top off and exclaims, "No mom! They can"t see me maked!" [not a typo, that is how she says naked] and I say "What? Who will see you naked?" Thinking she's worried someone is outside that she could see from the window or something. "Candi! and Meg!..." and proceeded to list all the members of our family appearing in the home video she is watching. I thought it was so hilarious she would even think that they could see her from a home movie when I realized she is a child raised in Skype, no wonder she's confused!
While I'm noting memorable things Lily says (for myself to remember mostly), the other day Lily was just being super whiny, mostly when it came to me doing things for Finn, and so I'm carrying her down the stairs (something that's developed since Finn moved in) and I say "What's wrong Lily, why are you having such a hard day?" and she hugs me tighter and in a shaky voice says "I just love you so much".
Oh and one more. This is coming second hand from Eric. Eric told Lily if she cleaned up her room really good he would get her a treat at the store. He was thinking a $.99 matchbox car or something. So they get to Walmart and of course she picks out a $10 doll. Eric told her that she needed to pick something a little smaller. There she is cradling the doll, patting it and burping it, all the while it is still in the box, saying "But Daddy, she wants me! She needs me!". So of course she comes home with a brand new doll just for cleaning her room. She has Eric wrapped around her little finger.
Like how she's holding the dolls eyes open for the picture?
